a watercolor and colored pencil piece of a beautiful woman with dark blonde curls is wearing a long purple gown and a cream fringe shawl. She's carrying a bouquet of sunflowers and red roses. She's framed by more drawings of purple mums, red roses, and sunflowers.

A birthday shout-out to my dear friend, Fee.  I consider it a distinct pleasure to know her.  She's an amazing mother with an enormous heart, but what really sets her apart for me is her truth.  She doesn't hide imperfections behind the mask of social media "wellness", and I don't think it would have ever occurred to her to do so.  She's just so genuine.  So real, and there's no sign of anything other than normalizing the struggles of parenting multiple children amid a global pandemic- with humor, love, genuine connections, and wine.  Hail Fee, for she is the goals I am my own parenting arrows towards.  I'm a better mom for having known her, and a better person for having loved her.

Happy birthday, Fee.  The world is better with you in it.

Handwritten, cursive signature says "pea flower tea" in lowercase letters. The flower is a small sketch of a bloom, instead of the word for "flower".
If an idea doesn't explode orgasms of bright sparks, cascading into and setting my own dark places alight, then I probably won't write about it.

Tell me something that moves you.
